PlymLit16 brings a festival filled with literary talent to Plymouth Oct 22nd - November 2nd!



Tomorrow kicks off Plymouth's long anticipated literary festival with it's first events including West of England Writers, an exciting chance to meet with succesful local authors, and the Women's Writing Panel hosted by author Elizabeth Dulcie. Over the coming days there will be a host of exciting events across the city ranging from writing workshops, a comedy workshop hosted by Chris Brooker, a flash fiction slam and a talk with Tony Bramwell about his life with the Beatles. There are also a number of family friendly events and events for children so the whole family can have a day out.

Other interesting events include a look at The Life and Works of Beatrix Potter, Pucker Poets with Sarah Hirsch, the Sightseers- Halloween Movie Night and the Journalism and PR panel. Keep an eye out for The Word literary evening showcasing some of the city's best performers and the launch party for Short Fiction: The Visual Literary Journal too!

The festival has been organised entirely by local volunteers who have worked hard to put together a varied and impressive line up with the support of local sponsors, so get on down and enjoy the plethora of talent collecting in our city! There certainly will be something for everyone!
