Virtus Pro ploughs into the EPICENTER Moscow grand final beating SK Gaming 16-4
Virtus Pro faced off with SK Gaming on Cobblestone at the EPICENTER semifinals taking it with a fantastic 16-4 storm of frags. After losing the first two rounds pretty quickly we saw the VP plough swing into full force stealing a 9 round run from the usually formidable SK Gaming.VP showed incredible game sense, alternating between passive plays and daring aggressive dashes up mid by Snax for early picks and wonderful picks coming from Neo as well. What is most impressive about VP is how once they get momentum they work fantastically individually and as a team, watching the players rotations and tactics you get the sense they have great communication and faith in one another.
SK's star player Fallen tried his best but as caster Janko P pointed out on Twitter pre-match the rest of the team really needed to step up as he is limited as an AWPer on this map.
Coldzera had some big rounds early in the match picking up multiple kills but often left on his own he couldn't win them out alone. In the end SK just couldn't gain traction with their economy totally destroyed and their players probably tilted. Both teams are excellent and have good history on Cobblestone, today VP just seemed to really turn up and I don't think SK were expecting it.
VP will face Team Dignitas or Na'vi at 18:00 CEST today for the title.
