Interview with up and coming UK CSGO player Sethy!

Q1. How long have you been playing now and what was it like moving from casually playing to working towards pro levels?

I have been playing CSGO for about 2 years now, i have not played any other version of counterstike before this, so this was the first one. I didnt find it hard to 'get good' or start working towards pro levels on counterstrike as i played cod4 at a pre invite level for years so being competitve was natural to me. I dont think ill be able to make it into a team because im almost 24 now and im late in the game. But i most certainly think I could keep up with them!

Q2. Which are your favourite and least favourite maps to play?

Which are your favourite and least favourite maps to play? My favorite maps are inferno and mirage, both maps i feel like i can dominate on CT and T side and are my strongest maps in general. The maps i dislike the most are cache as i find it boring to play, i dont really like the layout of the map, and also nuke for near enough the same reasons.

Q3. Who’s your favourite pro team or player?

My favorite team is is fnatic just because they are a team i have known of for years, i remember them competiting in cod4 promod back in the day. But my favrite csgo player is GeT_RiGhT! 

Q4. Do you think we’ll be seeing more of a UK presence in the Counter Strike scene as players have time to form teams?

Id like to say yes, but i dont think so. The UK has always struggled in the pro scene. But 1 person who has always stood out, and represented the UK for me is Phantasy! He was one of the best on cod4 promod for the UK and moved to counterstrike not too long ago and dominated straight away. Its a shame he isnt in a proper team! 

Q5. What’s your favoutire pistol, SMG and rifle?

 Pistol has to be the desert eagle (you will see why in my highlight videos) SMG has to be the UMP as its cheap, easy to use and you get good money for kills! Perfect gun for eco rounds. Rifle i cant choose a favorite, i love the AK silenced M4 and the AWP.

Q6. Favourite CSGO meme?

Honestly? I dont have one!

Q7. What advice would you give to any aspiring e-sportsmen/women?

 My advice would be to put as many hours as you can into it as it takes alot of your time. And make sure you enjoy it, you have to enjoy it to become good. You need to be passionate and want to win every game. Find a group of players all simular to you and play as often as you can. Doing that for me got me to the highest rank on CSGO.

 

Q8. Do you play any other games?

Nope! No game for me is as fun and addictive as csgo!

Q9. What’s your view on Infernew?

 Its ok. I liked the old one better, as it was more balananced. All the new one requires is team strats and it can be just as easy as the old one. Visually its perfect! I enjoy playing it and im sure many others do too!
