Satellite Citi release epic new searing single and music video: Undead

One of my favourite metal bands, Satellite Citi (Anna Gevorkian and Shaunt Sulahian), just can't seem to stop knocking them out the park! Their latest single -Undead- is a killer cacophony of epic riffs, howling lyrics and their by now signature sky-high levels of passion and energy. As soon as I checked my inbox and saw the new single I had waited for months to come out had been in the ether for hours, I slammed the play button, speakers errupting with the awesomely playful riffs and rythmn I have come to expect from this talented duo. Despite my probably unfair levels of hype and expectation, that had built up for months, they did not disappoint.

One of the things I like most about the band's lyricism is their ability to be a little goth and dark, to touch on deeper emotions, without losing hope. There is always that quintessential rebellious and hopeful element of metal and rock to their music that makes you wanna keep getting up and fighting. This energy translates into the melodies and drums, which sound like they are bursting to escape with an almost hypnotic and tribal pairing of strong soaring guitar and hearty drumming that commands your attention.This is complimented well by the accompanying surreal and empowering music video, with cool visuals and great acting it sucks you into a world of battling for freedom and individuality. Tonatiuh Elizarraraz acts superbly throughout, really bringing the track to life.
